The new 2025 Chevy Trax: Bigger, bolder and more affordable
The Chevy Trax is back for the 2025 model year and it's already making a significant impact. Chevrolet has done a stylish redesign of the new Trax SUV and it now includes more advanced safety technology to help protect you and your family. Front-wheel drive now comes standard in every trim of the new Chevy Trax and there's a three cylinder turbocharged engine under the hood with 137 horsepower.
In addition, the new Chevy Trax gives you more cargo space and more headroom in the second row than was available in the previous model. Performance with the standard engine
All five trims in the new 2025 Chevy Trax come with the same 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that can
deliver 137 horsepower. You get a six-speed automatic standard and you also get front-wheel drive. The 2025 Chevy Trax
can travel from zero to 60 mph in about 9.4 seconds and it's earned an EPA-estimated 28 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on
highways around Amarillo and Floydada TX.
Infotainment technology
With the Chevy Trax LS and 1RS trims, you'll get an 8-inch touch screen as a standard feature and that's bigger than
what was available on the highest level of the previous model. If you move up to the LT trim you'll get an even bigger
11-inch infotainment touch screen and an 8-inch gauge cluster. Wireless smartphone connectivity for both Apple and
Android devices comes standard and you can add an available wireless phone charger. Other available extras include
heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a sunroof.
Interior comfort
For 2025, Chevrolet has completely redesigned the interior of the new Chevy Trax. The entertainment screen is aimed at
the driver and climate controls are strategically positioned. The new Trax comes with a longer wheel base which creates
three inches of additional legroom in the rear as well as more cargo space. The driving position now feels quite a bit
lower and it gives you a comfortable ride that's more like a sedan, which reviewers note is a huge advantage over the
previous version.
Safety technology
The Chevy Trax for 2025 comes with standard automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, a lane departure warning
system and lane keeping assist. You can upgrade to available adaptive cruise control. What's truly amazing about the
Chevy Trax is that it gives you all these features and yet it has the lowest starting price of any vehicle Chevrolet

What's new for 2025?
Chevrolet gave the Trax a year off to do some retooling and it's now back as a larger crossover with more standard features than before. For the 2025 model year, the Chevy Trax is new inside and out and includes a longer wheel base, more room for cargo along with more headroom and legroom in the second row. The Trax now gives you more trims to choose from, expanding from only two models up to five. In addition, there's now a three-cylinder turbocharged engine in every trim.
