The GMC Hummer EV is brimming with incredible tech, but one of the most eye-catching and unique features is the CrabWalk mode. CrabWalk allows this all-electric supertruck to move in a diagonal direction at low speeds, which not only looks impressive, but adds new functionality not found in other off-road vehicles.

CrabWalk is Fun & Useful

So how does CrabWalk work? In this mode, the front and rear wheels can steer at the same angle, allowing the vehicle to move diagonally while keeping the body facing forward. That means the Hummer EV can shimmy side-to-side.

While CrabWalk is a blast to see in action, it’s not just for show. This feature can be incredibly useful when off-roading on tricky terrain, allowing you to precisely navigate around obstacles at low speeds. CrabWalk also makes it easier to maneuver the Hummer EV in and out of tight spaces and parking spots.
